A Lot To Catch Up On....

Let's see....where do I start? Yes, it has been quite a long time since I blogged. I'm sorry for the delay but I have been busy working at the day care.

Let me start this blog off by talking about our FIRST wedding anniversary. I can't believe how fast the first year went, but it has been amazing!!!

This is what was left of our wedding cake. The cake was good, but the icing was extremely sweet....if you eat too much, your tummy would hurt! Not bad for being in the freezer for one year!

Me with the cake before we started eating some. The purple dots disappeared over the year in the freezer.

Us with our cake on the night of our first wedding anniversary!

We went to an Astros game for our first anniversary. It was against the Atlanta Braves and we sat in the Crawford Boxes. The Astros did not win, but it was fun to go to a game with my husband!

This is us sitting in the Crawford Boxes. Awesome seats!!! Thanks to my wonderful husband for the amazing seats and anniversary.

Two weeks after our anniversary, Michael got to spend the weekend in College Station with Kevin and the boys, while I got to spend the weekend with Amelia in Tomball, where we went to a concert at Toyota Center to see New Kids On The Block, Backstreet Boys, Jordin Sparks, and Ashlyne Huff. Talk about an amazing concert to see, but I definitely don't like live music due to ears ringing for days after!

This is Amelia and I with Ashlyne Huff.

Look at our shirts. Aaaaahhhhh, it was awesome and we had great seats. Thanks to Kevin!!!

Waiting to get inside to see the concert!!!

NKOTBSB, NKOTBSB, NKOTBSB!!!

Good news guys.....I now have a summer job. I will be working at a christian day care center in Tomball. I will be with the infants! Uh oh here goes the baby fever again :D

Interviews Update

Well, I had the interview for the St. Anne's Catholic School job a week ago. I feel like it went extremely well but will have to wait a couple of weeks to find out the outcome. It is a 5th grade math/science/religion teacher. To me, it sounds very exciting and challenging as well (which I love).

I also had an interview today at Step By Step Christian School for a summer daycare position. I will again have to wait to find out the outcome, but only a few days....not weeks.

Wish me luck....I hope to get both of them!!!

Interviews.....

Well guys.....I finally have two interviews (one for a summer job and one for a TEACHING JOB AT ST. ANNES CATHOLIC SCHOOL). They are both on Tuesday after work so wish me luck that I knock both of them dead :D

This has been so exciting to find out that someone wants to interview me for a teaching job and I would be so ecstatic if I got this job.

Also, Michael got a promotion at work. I think things are finally turning around and God has his own plan for us. I feel like he is telling me that this is the place for me to teach.

I can't wait until I find out how the interviews go. Wish me luck and keep me in your prayers!

Busy Times....But Fun Times!!!

Well, the past few weekends, we have been going NONSTOP....let me tell you, it's pretty tiring! Last weekend, we went to Galveston with the McGlones and had a long weekend with both boys and our great friends Amelia and Kevin. The weekend before that, our oldest nephew, Mr. Grant, turned three....yes, thats right....THREE!!!

Below is all about our Galveston trip....Hope you enjoy....there are some FUN pictures here....

Right here is the beginning of our mud fight. LOL... we were down by the water while the boys were up at the beach. Kevin sees us throwing mud on each other and says "Dude, you know our wives are throwing mud on each other, right?" Next thing we know, we see Kevin running with the camera and here comes Mike right behind him.
Here it is getting pretty messy and at the end. If you look at Elliott, he is laughing because he thinks it is funny! I was trying to stuff mud in her pants because she put a HUGE handful in mine!
She ran into the water trying to escape the mud in the pants, so I run after her and of course Mr. Elliott is following us in....haha....

Isn't Mr. Elliott precious? Gosh he's gotten to be a big boy and has come a long way from where he started his life as a premature baby! He is still so sweet but can have his moody moments. Even though thats the case, we still love him so much!
Look how big Mr. Declan has gotten. I can't believe he is a year old. Let me tell you, this baby has changed from a baby that cries all the time to a baby that laughs, plays, smiles, and is fun to be around. We love him so much as well!

Look at the McGlone brothers together. OMG....now that Declan is getting older, he is looking more and more like his older brother! They were so fun to be around all weekend long.

There's a picture of me and my wonderful, sweet husband going for a dip in the ocean. OMG that water was freezing but was fun once you got in! I love Mike so much and am so proud to be his wife. This will be a fun picture to look back on in twenty to thirty years to see ourselves as NEWBIES still in the married life! I can't believe its almost been a YEAR!!!!

Mr. Elliott was getting a pail of water to put in his moat around his sand castle. He was so darn precious and enjoyed every minute of the beach.

Me and baby Declan... I love him and enjoyed every minute of the beach experience with him. The second I put him down, he was crawling around and digging in the sand. So much fun to watch!

Uh-oh. Someone has brother's sunglasses. Shouldn't those be on Elliott's face? LOL. Oh well he was definitely entertained!

Our New Car!!!

Well, last night we went and bought a new car. Our truck was having a few major problems that we didn't want to chance having to fix so we traded it in. It was EXTREMELY hard letting it go, but it was a decision that had to be made. We traded it in for a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox. It is twilight blue metallic on the outside and jet back/beige interior.

On the way home, Mike and I realized that we are growing up now because we bought a SUV and got rid of the sporty truck that we both loved so much. Mike made the comment that with this decision it is definitely for our future family.

Enjoy a few pictures below of the new car that I love as well as goodbye pictures of the truck that is definitely missed!

This is the last picture that I took of our truck. I wish we were two years later because then we could have kept it and gotten the new car. But this decision is the best and we enjoyed that truck for a wonderful 3-4 years.

This picture is of the new car on Sunday when we walked around dealerships searching for the right one. Michael made a comment when we found it and were just standing there staring at it that this could be the car that our children come home from the hospital in and you know what....IT WILL BE THE CAR THAT THEY COME HOME IN because we now have it as our new SUV!!! :D

This is the final picture of this experience. We said hello to the Equinox and goodbye to the Colorado at this moment. Its very sad to not have the truck that we drove to Boaz, Alabama for.

We love both of these vehicles but can only afford one....It was time to say goodbye and move on to something more family friendly. We know it will go to someone good and they will enjoy it as much as we do!

This is like our memory blog for the pretty blue 2007 Chevrolet Colorado Extreme as well as the day that we bought our family car!

A Beautiful Saturday!

Well this morning we went to the grocery store and brought the stuff home. Elliott drove the race car buggy around the store and enjoyed himself so much. We came home and got ready for the day. We were heading to Spring to see my parents and hang out for the day.

We got there and started playing outside in their backyard. Next thing we know, its time for lunch. We had yummy black bean tamales and pork tamales. Elliott ate 3 tamales and some chips. Needless to say, he was definitely full from all the food he ate. We ate lunch and dinner with my parents and had a lot of playtime with them at their house. It was such a beautiful day to be outside all day. For dinner, my mom cooked barbecued pulled chicken for some soft tacos. Elliott didn't want that and started crying, so we made him a peanut butter and honey sandwich....which he devoured in no time.

Here is a picture from when we got home Saturday evening and were just hanging around the apartment.

This is the big boy with his bucket of dirt that he collected and dug out of the ground in my parents front yard.

This is Michael and Elliott hanging out in Spring and Elliott is showing off his plant that he found in the yard. I love these two guys oh so much!

Me and my special boy hanging out. I absolutely love this picture!

This was a pretty funny situation in today's activities. Elliott would find acorns and want to plant them. He would plant them in the ground and then cover them up. He would turn around for 3 seconds and then look and there was a tree growing out of it. In reality, Michael was finding leaves that were on the ground from the trees and would stick them where he planted the acorns. It was so cute because he got excited about the trees growing!

If you look to the left on him in the picture, there is one of his magical acorn trees. Doesn't he look so proud of his gardening skills?

This is a video of Elliott playing with a box from something that we had just bought. It was too cute because Elliott was playing peek-a-boo with the box. Hope you enjoy the video as well as all of the wonderful pictures.

It was such a great day and we enjoyed hanging out with all of the wonderful people in our lives....meaning my parents and Elliott as well as each other!

Today's Playdate

Well, today we had an eventful day. Boy were we busy....It's been a LONG day, but extremely fun!

We joined my friend, Jamie, from high school and her two kids to have a play date at a park near our apartment complex. She was in town from Pennsylvania and wanted to let the boys hang out since they were down and I had our special bundle of energy.

This is her youngest little boy, Tyler, who is going to be 4 months old on Wednesday. All he did today was sleep, eat, poop, and for some reason loved spitting up all over me constantly.

This was when we came home, the boys were coloring together which went great until crayons got broken.

Here's a picture of high school friends. The funny thing is that we HATED each other at first but now are great friends. Sorry about the squinting of the eyes. We didn't quite set ourselves up for the best picture. The sun was in our eyes!

When we got to the park, we had a small picnic. We had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, goldfish, strawberries, grapes, and apple juice. The boys were more interested in the park and the playground but sat down for a short period of time to eat. This is a picture of Brendan showing off his strawberry.

This is the baby sleeping during our picnic at the park. He was in the sun and we couldn't seem to shade him, but don't worry....he didn't sleep long!

Here is a picture of my little bundle of energy. We have done a lot of fun things together since Thursday and it's only been 2 days. Can't wait to see what's in store for tomorrow and Sunday when Michael is off work and here with us to play!

My baby is eating goldfish. He had already had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich at home before Jamie and the boys showed up.

Here's a picture of the two boys in the back of the truck so we could head to the park for our playdate and fun times!

This morning we made cookies and I had help icing them. He seemed to love the pink ones better than the white ones. He devoured the cookie I gave him.

Needless to say, this was a friendship that was quickly built. Brendan had a huge meltdown when it was time for them to leave. Before they left, the boys were sitting on the couch together saying "You are my new friend"...."Will you be my friend?" It was so adorable.

I am going to leave you with the conversation between Aunt Robin and Elliott this morning.

Elliott: What are you drinking?
Me: Tea
Elliott: Why are you drinking tea?
Me: Because I like it
Elliott: But you are a woman and women only drink water. You like water.
Me: No I like tea
Elliott: Only men drink tea

OMG...where did this come from??? I couldn't believe a three year old was having this conversation with me and was giving me the responses that he was.

Hope you enjoy!

We Have Company!!!

Well, this morning my mom and I went to Navasota to meet up with Amelia so Elliott could come stay with us through Sunday. On the way to Navasota, I got pulled over by a state trooper on a small back road for NO LICENSE PLATE in the front. Go freakin' figure.... Thankfully the guy was nice and just gave me a warning. Now Michael and I both have a warning for the same damn thing on our recored. The trooper asked if we lost it in an accident and I said No. He asked where it was and I told him in our garage. My mom thinks thats why I got a warning and not a ticket because I told the truth. LOL. We got to Navasota and transferred him and all of his stuff over. Once we got him situated and settled in the truck, we headed to the outlet mall off of 290 so my mom could get some flip flops from Crocs store. After she went shopping, we let him play in the small playground at the mall. We left to go eat yummy Mexican food at On The Border and then headed home.

We are now waiting to head to the gym to go see Michael. Tonight's dinner is in the making....we are having lemon chicken tenders on the george foreman grill and cheesy creamed corn which is in the crock pot. I think my hubby is getting spoiled with me being home this entire week. Every night has been a new dinner that I have been trying out.

Elliott and I made some jello for dessert tonight, so that will be yummy. Here are a few pictures from today. Hope you enjoy!

There will be more posts about our company!!!

This is a picture of him playing on the playground....about to go down the slide....at the outlet mall off of 290.....

This is a picture of the munchkin playing on his laptop....we played a lot of the games and stuff on there together!

Today's BoBo Is Done!

Well this morning I had an ingrown toe nail cut out. It wasn't as bad as I thought. The worst part was the shots (yes, plural....3 to be exact). Once the toe was numb, everything went great and was done extremely fast.

My appointment was at 10am. I got there at 9:22 and they took me back at 9:30. I was out by 10:15ish. That time frame included me sitting in the room for a good 10-15 minutes. Not too shabby. He showed me the nail that was in my toe and there's no wonder it hurt like hell. That nail was MASSIVE! But its out now, so I should not have any more pain in that toe from a stupid ingrown toenail.

I asked what caused them and he said it could be one of two things: 1) the way the toe nail is cut or 2) hereditary. Mine is hereditary. My dad and brother have had BOTH of their big toes done, so bingo....thats why I had to get it done too.

I sure am glad its over and am ready to start the fun part of my spring break!

Today my mom came over and we cooked a lot. She cooked potato soup for my brother and his wife, then we got dinner ready for tonight (Mexican Lasagna....yummy!!!), then made some peanut butter balls (like reeses peanut butter cups)....

Well, now you see the pretty wrapping that I got to have all day today and have to keep on until tomorrow morning (24 hours later). The crazy part is that I have to soak my toe in epson salt and water twice a day for the next three weeks.

On the brighter side, yesterday we got to see Aimee, Gary, Grant, Grayson, Mom S, and Dad S. Below is a picture of me and Grant hanging out outside. We got a video of Grayson and Grant but it needs to be edited. Once it is ready, we will be sure to post it!

I absolutely love him. I can't believe he is about to be 3 YEARS OLD. Where has time gone??? He is such a big boy now.....Aunt Robin and Uncle Michael love you both Grant and Grayson as well as Elliott and Declan......We can't wait for Baby K. either!

Spring BREAK!!!

Omg, I didnt think it could come fast enough. Yes, its that time of the year....spring break! This spring break will sure be busy but it will be nice to not have to work or grade papers or plan. It's a lot of time to hang out with my favorite people....

Monday, is going to be the least favorite day, but it will be well worth it when this pain stops. I am having an ingrown toe nail cut out in the morning, so wish me luck. I'm pretty nervous.

The week will get better, especially on Thursday through Sunday. I am picking up Mr. Elliott on Thursday morning and he is spending all the way through Sunday with us. I can't wait. My mom is going to be hanging out with me a lot over the break so I am excited!

Busy and Tired

Gosh, it sure does feel like we can't seem to catch up on sleep. With all of the moving and all of the events we have been going to has been draining us on energy and making us exhausted. On top of all this, we are having absolutely HORRIBLE allergies. Why us???

This past Saturday we attended Sheila and Jeff's wedding. It was absolutely beautiful and extremely happy. As they were doing the ceremony, I had tears in my eyes because it was so sweet and because the bride and groom were crying. I never knew how emotional it was to be in the audience, but I do know that it is extremely emotional being the bride and groom.

I can't believe we have been married for almost 9 months. Geez where has time gone? I know one thing, what married couple can say in the 9 months of marriage, we have lived in 2 different apartments lol. US!!!! We just ran out of room in the one bedroom one bathroom.

Anyways, enjoy the rest of your week and look forward to new posts! I'm trying my hardest to blog more than what I did on our actual website!

A Tour of Apartment #225

As you can tell, we have traded our square space website for a blogspot. Our first new post on here is a wonderful view of our new "home"!

Well, we have upgraded to a bigger place. We went from a 1 bedroom 1 bath to a 2 bedroom 1 bath. We have been in it for about a week now. There's still some things that need to be finished and put away, but for the most part its looking like a warm and cozy home.

We have added a video tour of the new place and hope you all enjoy it!

We can't wait to have our wonderful friends and family to come visit us and to see it in person. Hopefully by that time, we will have everything set up and ready for the viewing of our office instead of a project room with stuff all over. LOL.
